Nicole Banister
Nicole Banister is the Director of Policy and Advocacy at the Responsible Business Initiative for Justice (RBIJ). She leads criminal justice reform campaigns at the state and federal levels and provides legal analysis on proposed policy reforms. Nicole previously served as Senior Counsel with the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Legal Policy as well as Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee.
Prior to her time in the federal government, Nicole provided technical assistance to states on criminal justice and public safety policy issues while at the National Governors Association. Nicole holds a law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Studies from Taylor University.
