RBIJ Media & Press Policy

RBIJ welcomes journalists and content creators to cover our events and work on business and justice. All media attendance requires advance approval. Credentials are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and approval for one event does not guarantee approval for future events. Eligible applicants include reporters, editors, producers, photographers, and other content creators attending for the purpose of independent coverage or publication.

To request credentials

Email Katlyn Toelle, Director of Communications, at katlyn@rbij.org with your name, outlet or publication, the name of the event you wish to cover, and any requests for interviews or photography/videography. You will be notified of approval ahead of the event.

What’s on the record

Formal program sessions — panels, fireside chats, and keynote remarks — are on the record unless we notify you otherwise in advance. Some sessions may be designated as off the record or conducted under the Chatham House Rule — this will be communicated at the time of credential approval. All other event activity, including networking and informal conversations, is not on the record unless a participant explicitly agrees.

Speaker remarks represent their own views and not those of RBIJ.

Code of Conduct

Credentialed press are expected to:

  • Wear their press badge visibly at all times

  • Identify themselves as press when engaging with event participants

  • Conduct themselves with professional courtesy toward RBIJ staff, speakers, and attendees

  • Refrain from using press credentials for marketing, solicitation, or any purpose other than independent coverage

RBIJ reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke credentials at its discretion. Revocation may result in removal from the event and ineligibility for future credentials.
